THE ROLE: I’m on the hunt for talented & driven Java developers to jump into the Digital Transformation team, made up of world-class developers who operate in an extremely fast paced and challenging environment, developing large scale and high-volume systems.

You will be making use of TDD and agile processes to deliver accessible and performance web apps that support the brand’s streaming service and the multiple platforms customers use.

LOCATION: Isleworth, fully remote till September then it’s 2 days in the office (you’ll be on a campus that has everything you need at a discount)

SALARY: £80,000 - £90,000 + free TV package, generous pension, private healthcare, discounted mobile/broadband and a wide range of VIP rewards & experiences

YOUR DAY TO DAY:

  • Contributing to important design decisions and detailed design and implementation.
  • Participation in all stages of the software development.
  • Contribute to and maintain the platform on which the service runs + the full path to production.
  • Getting your hands into new technologies and identifying what use they have.
  • Effectively communicate with a cross-functional team to ensure the best delivery and integration of these systems.

SKILLS YOU NEED:

  • Extensive experience in core Java and in Java 8+
  • Application development experience building large scale & high volume microservices using Java in Cloud or container-based environment.
  • Comfortable with pair programming and code reviews.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering practices including: design patterns, unit testing, automated build and test systems for CI/CD.
  • Highly competent using GIT and following TDD.
