This is a great opportunity to join an team working on a project for a well known British retailer. You will be building out new features/improvements of their existing application as well as having a directive to evolve the platform and architecture too. This contract will is 6 months in the first instance with potential to extend beyond.

For this customer we look for Software Engineers. You need an engineering mindset, confident in working in Agile, with a strong passion for TDD. We have strong engineering standards and you must have used TDD commercially before for this contract.

We'd describe this as a full stack position. Ideally stronger in backend C#, .NET 4.8, moving into .NET Core 5, AWS, Devops mindset. Experience of the frontend - Strong JavaScript (Vanilla ideally as apposed to frameworks), Razor, HTML, SaSS/CSS.

Tech

From a backend point of view, we would be looking for:

C#/.net

TDD, SOLID, Refactoring skillset

AWS experience

DevOps mindset

From a front end point of view, you would ideally have experience and ability in:

Razor/.net

Strong JavaScript capability (vanilla over frameworks)

Semantic HTML, SaSS/CSS, Performance etc (core front end skills)

This business are happy for the role to be fully remote (100% remote with no requirement to ever be onsite), however, they do have an office available in central Manchester should you feel this suits your circumstances better - but the choice is yours. The role is outside IR35.
